Spiritual Direction Philosophy:
Spiritual Direction is soul-tending. As a spiritual director, I offer a listening presence and gentle guidance as you seek to discern the stirrings of the Spirit in your life, to grow in self-knowledge and self-acceptance, and to become the person you truly are. Our work often seems to focus on centering in the place of spiritual calling where, as Frederick Buechner puts it, “your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”
Among those I have companioned in their spiritual journeys are seasoned ministers and seminary students, BIPOC and white, LGBTQ and straight, UU laypeople and non-UUs, Christians, Humanists, Atheists and mystics (and more than I can name). As people share from their life experience and perspective, my own life is enriched.
