Spiritual Direction Philosophy:
My approach to spiritual counseling is grounded in creating a warm, affirming space where clients can explore the spiritual and religious dimensions of their life with honesty and openness. I view the relationship as a shared journey—walking alongside one another as companions—while also offering teachings, contemplative practices, or other resources when they may serve the moment.
My personal experience of spirituality is rooted in a nondual or unitive awareness, which opens me to a deep respect for the many ways people experience and name the Sacred. This perspective allows me to welcome and support a wide diversity of spiritual paths and traditions.
My background includes ten years as a monk offering spiritual direction, professional work as a psychotherapist, and training as an interfaith spiritual director through the Chaplaincy Institute. These experiences shape an approach that is both spacious and attentive, honoring each person’s unique unfolding.
