Philosophy of Spiritual Direction:
Some directors act as quiet companions, offering a place for reflection or self-revelation as the individual is so moved; others act as spiritual coaches, working with people to develop their spiritual practices and disciplines. I focus on spiritual formation: the work of becoming, which brings thinking, feeling, action, and relationship into a sacred integrity. I work with people who seek deep connection with the Holy as they understand it and, therefore, want to engage with spiritual practice, theological understanding, ethical living, and contemplative reflection to nurture that connection. At the heart of my practice are the questions, "Where is the Sacred in this? How are you in relationship with that-which-is-larger?"
