Spiritual direction with individuals is about their "becoming who they are in their faith," to paraphrase Jean LaPlace. It's about a person's relationship with the great mystery at the heart of life, however it is named. We start with where the person is in that relationship. I see my role in spiritual direction as accompanying individuals as they seek to grow and deepen that relationship, and to discern how Spirit is present and moves in their lives, and how to respond to it.
I have led retreats on a range of spiritual practices, prayer, lectio divina, love, forgiveness, the sacred in nature, the movements of our inner seasons with the seasons of earth, as well as a mostly-silent retreat. Workshops include spiritual autobiography and "The Rest of Your Life" living intentionally. |
