| Buddhist/Interfaith. Spiritual direction in a Buddhist context is done through teaching Buddhist spiritual practices. The teacher is a spiritual friend (kalyanamitra), one who uses skillful means to awaken wisdom (personal knowledge or realization) in the student. Whether or not the student is a "Buddhist" is irrelevant. Only openness to Buddhist practice (spiritual technology) is needed. |
