Description:In our spiritual direction sessions, the longings of your heart provide the compass. We sit together inviting the holy, attending to the inner voice that is so often drowned out in everyday life. In traditional language, the purpose of spiritual direction is to deepen one's relationship with God. Another way to think of it is as developing the skill of recognizing and living into new truth. I am your companion as you discern the next steps on your journey. Monthly spiritual direction is a practice that keeps you in touch with the deeper dimensions of living. Together we rest in silence and open to the leadings of the heart.
In my own journey I have struggled with disability, loneliness, adoptive parenting, aging parents and vocational search. These and other life challenges may be part of your journey. Today I live with my husband and son in Silver Spring, Maryland. I have worked as a parish minister, counselor and as minister to the social justice internship program of the UU Washington Office. I offer spiritual direction in person or by phone. Please contact me by email for further information.
